PURE
"The catwalks were awash with romantic blooms and
rural references this season,
in a trend that’s sure to capture
hearts as spring’s first blush kicks in.
The ANTONIO MARRAS show was an
optimistic explosion of everything rustic:
floaty floral print dresses, pretty appliqué,
lace, crisp white broderie anglaise
and a catwalk strewn with paper butterflies.
Oversized flowers decorated waists, necks and hair at
MARC JACOBS,
while wide-brimmed straw hats,
long gauzy dresses and frilled off-the-shoulder necklines
recalled the hazy, bucolic atmosphere of
70s Flake adverts.
A similarly languid mood was on show at
ALBERTA FERRETTI,
where an elongated silhouette was draped
with floaty floral and lace dresses that would
make any woman limp with desire.
Florals were also the mood at D&G,
although the take here was characteristically
cheeky: sweet blooms mixed
with red gingham played out across tiny peasant tops,
mini skirts and romper suits. The beauty mood for this
trend is equally romantic,
with natural, tossable hair that’s lusciously long,
high on volume and rippling with waves.
The makeup balances darkly lined eyes with
blushing bloom shades on lips and cheeks.
RUSTIC DREAMERS
live in a soft-focus, slow-motion world where,
beneath all the sweet purity on display,
a wanton fruitfulness waits to burst forth. Luscious."

"It’s time to raise the spirit of rock as a raw and
rebellious theme returns to fashion.
As Sid Vicious’s iconic version of My Way
belted out at BAL-MAIN and spiky-haired
girls stomped the catwalk at BALENCIAGA,
it was easy to sense the provocation in the air.
The tomboy aesthetic was con-firmed with s
leeveless jackets and untucked shirts at BALENCIAGA,
worn with drainpipe jeans, bovver
boots and brothel creepers
(Dr Martens-style lace-ups and lace-up shoes with thick
crepe soles, for the uninitiated).
Hellraiser garb was also on display at
BURBERRY PRORSUM,
where skin-tight leathers, trenched biker jackets,
severe studding and animal prints kept the
mood suitably wild.
BALMAIN’s Christophe Decarnin shredded
and distressed everything he could lay
his hands on – including tights.
At JAEGER, the 50s rocker vibe was
present in a series of monochrome
outfits bearing white-on-black spots and stripes.
Beauty-wise there was a rather surprising take at
BALENCIAGA,
where even supermodels such as Amber
Valletta and Stella Tennant were bare-faced.
This rawness was underlined by hair bearing
jagged edges and short spiky styles in angst-ridden colours.
REBEL ROCKERS stick two fingers up
to safe fashion and choose instead to walk their
own daring path.

"If you need a flag-bearer for the new teen-decade
purity then look to Phoebe Philo at CÉLINE.
Philo’s spring-summer collection showed the
sparse yet precise forms of
mid-century furniture designers such as
Arne Jacobsen.
Crisp cream and white was picked out with
bands of blue, tangerine and jewel green.
This trend is about being clever,
confident and bold in reductionism,
hence the plain cotton suit, as seen at
CÉLINE and PRADA,
is the key piece, lent dash by primary hits
of colour and, as at
STELLA McCARTNEY,
thigh-high splits and slashes.
This wardrobe for grown-up women hinges
around clean-line trousers, sharp cotton shirts,
long pencil skirts and tailored dresses
designed to cling to curves. Such curves were key at
MAX MARA,
where pieces were pulled tight to
the body; nude coats, jackets and dresses
were cinched at the waist with pop-toned belts.
MODERNISTA cues for
beauty focus on precise shape and colour details.
Makeup is barely there but draws the
gaze to unexpected colour placements; the silver eyelids at
PRADA
are a perfect example. Hair is naturally toned
and polished to perfection (quality is key),
with exact partings to the side or
dead centre – a look that imparts instant confidence.
MODERNISTAs are poised and cool,
with the self-belief to strip back unnecessary
distractions and focus on what’s important.
Self-assurance guaranteed."

Denna trend enligt mig representerar
en stark kvinnlig karraktär, jag tänker genast
buisness woman.

URBAN
"Economic and socio-political strife
still dominates the world outlook,
which may have focused some designers on escape this season.
The theme was literal at COMMUUN,
where parachute-silk dresses were shown with drawcords,
straps, puttees and action-clasp belts.
The theme was outdoor adventure – a trend
similarly played out at MARNI, where scuba-diving dominated.
Here, handbags playfully echoed the lines of flippers,
while diving-suit references came
via black colour-blocked tops and leather bathing caps.
Shorts are once again a wardrobe staple,
but this season they understudy dresses in tight bicycle styles.
At ACNE,
vintage-style playsuits took the seaside
off the beach and onto the high street
(or, more likely, into the nightclub),
while the body suits at
CHLOE and MAX MARA
were more usefully shown with trousers and jackets.
Utility at ALEXANDER WANG
came with construction motifs:
builders’ overalls deconstructed into gauzy dresses
held together with straps;
white cargo pants and denim-style jackets with canvas detailing.
Beauty emphasises adventure and activity,
with exercise-flushed cheeks and darkened brows
that accentuate physical strength.
Hair is pulled close to the head to echo
the body-conscious looks on the catwalk.
ACTION GIRL believes in functionality
and expects her clothing to move,
morph and operate at the same fast pace she does.
It’s time to get physical."

tilltalar mig mest personligen :)
